Artist's Description

One in a series of five silk paintings featuring the culture and wildlife of Fiji. The rugged skyline of the Sleeping Giant Mountains we see from our home runs through each painting.

Also included here is an image of a traditional fish trap and spear, carved wooden oil dishes, and the corner of a bamboo raft - still important as a mode of transport in remote Fijian communities.
